SIXTOWNS BAR – SUSTAINABILITY AND COMMUNITY AT OUR CORE

OUR COMMITMENT IN ACTION

At SIXTOWNS Bar, sustainability is not just a buzzword - it’s built into every drink we pour, every experience we host, and every decision we make. Based inside the heart of World of Wedgwood, our bar is a space where great times and great responsibility go hand in hand. From thoughtful sourcing to zero-waste ambitions, we’re proud to operate with the future in mind.

Eco-Conscious Venue Design

Our furniture and fittings include reclaimed timber, refurbished pieces, and local ceramic touches — staying true to our heritage and reducing the carbon footprint of new materials.

All lighting throughout the bar uses low-energy LED systems and automatic shut-off where appropriate to reduce energy consumption.

Minimising Waste and Single-Use Plastics

You won’t find single-use plastics at our bar. We use biodegradable paper straws and compostable garnish picks.Garnish and prep waste is collected and composted, and we actively reuse citrus peels in infusions and syrups where possible.

Zero-Waste Cocktails

Our bar team crafts cocktails with intention — balancing bold flavour with minimal waste.

Expect upcycled ingredients like infused cordials, dehydrated garnishes, and surplus fruit reductions. Our signature serves often feature ingredients reclaimed from distillation byproducts.

Closed-Loop Spirit Production

Spirits served at the bar are created just metres away at SIXTOWNS Distillery. Every drop is made using water and energy-saving methods, with spent grain and botanicals responsibly reused or repurposed.

This direct-from-distillery model eliminates the need for long-haul transportation and third-party bottling, cutting emissions dramatically.

Refill Your Bottle

Bring back your SIXTOWNS ceramic bottles and refill them at the bar. Not only does it save packaging waste, but it rewards loyal customers who care about reducing single-use consumption.
